Need help? Here are some helpful descriptions about the features of this site. The new CARTERRA Online will intuitively guide you through locating, selecting and purchasing high resolution imagery and other data products. If you have difficulty at any point, the following instructions can put you back on track.
Accurately identifying the imagery you wish to purchase has never been
easier. Step 1: LOCATE your area of interest (AOI)
on the map These three simple steps can be repeated for multiple product sets, assigning a name of your own choice to each ordered item.

the map window; in the map area, right-click and drag the mouse to position
the boundary over the area of interest, release the mouse button to create
the AOI.

CARTERRA Online provides access to
GeoEye's product catalog. To access these
catalogs choose the "2. Select" button (found directly above the map window)
and select the appropriate catalog tab.
You will be presented with a list of available products for your area of interest. Product Specifications may be viewed by selecting the Product Name link. Select the products that you wish to include in your search. The default Maximum Cloud Cover and the Acquisition Date Range values are applied to all selected products and may be changed. Additionally, you may refine your search criteria per product by selecting the Advanced Search link. Select the "Search" button to preview data available within your area of interest.
Denotes that product
may be purchased online.
Denotes that product is available for online
delivery.
While your search is in progress, you will be presented with
the icon shown to the right. The length of the search time varies based
on the number of products selected and the area covered. The number of
results returned per product is limited to prevent runaway searches. You
may refine your area of interest or search criteria to lower the number
of results returned.
The results of the search are displayed in tabular format beneath the map window. If multiple products were selected for a search, the tabular list will display the results from the first product. You may switch between product result sets by selecting the desired product set from the "Search Results" dropdown located in the lower left corner of the application window and then selecting the adjacent OK button.
For any result, selecting the "Image Details" link creates a pop-up window displaying metadata and a thumbnail image (not geographically referenced) for the specified record.

You may also select the "Footprint" checkbox to display a geographically referenced outline of the data location in the map window. Selecting "Onscreen Preview" displays a geographically referenced thumbnail image of the specified record on the map window.

If you wish to order one or more images from a result set, you will need to select the rightmost checkbox (under the "Add to Order" button) for each image. Please make sure your current area of interest is drawn so it includes the data you wish to purchase.
Note: The delivered product and your cost are calculated based on area (square kilometers). The area is derived from the intersection of the selected images and the defined area of interest polygon. The area of interest is used to "cookie cut" from the chosen images. If you have used the "Locate by Shape" function to define your area of interest, your currently displayed area of interest may be a non-rectangular polygon. Your cost and product delivery will be calculated based on the smallest rectangle enclosing the area (minimum bounding rectangle).
Select the "Add to Order" button. A pop-up window will be displayed
for you to configure your product. Enter a "Project Name" in the text
box provided and select the appropriate parameter values for your order.
Based upon your order parameters, pricing will be displayed at the bottom
of the page.
If the price is displayed as "Quote", selecting the "Request for Quote" button will send an email to Customer Service requesting pricing information. This does not commit you to a purchase. Customer Service will then contact you via email with the appropriate pricing or reseller information.
For order items with an actual price, select the "Add to Order" button. You will be presented with the appropriate End User License Agreement. You must "Accept" this agreement to continue. Your on-line Shopping Basket will then appear. At this time, you may select "Continue Shopping" returning you to the map interface or you may select "Check Out".

|
|
The final step is "Check Out". This is where you confirm your order/quote to be submitted for processing. Select the "3. Check-Out" button (located directly above the map window). You will be presented with your shopping basket. Select the method of purchase via the "Purchase Method" dropdown. You may choose either Credit Card Payment or Submit to Customer Service.
If you select "Credit Card Payment", you may pay for your product(s) online.
If you select "Submit to Customer Service", your order details will be sent to GeoEye's Customer Service department and you will be contacted for payment to continue your order processing.
Select "Check Out". A detailed "Order Summary" will be displayed.

Carefully review this form and if everything appears accurate select "Submit". For credit card purchases, the "Online Credit Information" screen will be displayed.
Please enter the appropriate Credit Card information and select "Continue". If you have any questions at this stage, please select the "Contact Web Support" Button. When the continue button is pressed the order will then be submitted and a "Receipt" will be displayed. Please print this receipt for your records by selecting the "Print" button.
Once your receipt has been printed, select "Close". Your order is now being processed. For online items that have been paid for by credit card you will receive email notification when your products are ready to be downloaded.
